  The multimedia and Resources class has become a nice class because after finishing the second partial I have learned to manage many internet tools that will be useful for me in the future. During this week, I learned something about the use of a software that is very useful because it will help me to create my electronic portfolio. Week 11

DEMO CLASS PRESENTATION

  This was an inter esting and really good week because I cluld observe my classnmates' demo classes, This was really useful because with it, I could notice some important aspects like strenghts and weaknesses when we teach a class. I learned it by putting attention to the presentations to identify the common mistales and the good aspects of how tp manage a class basing on my classmates presenytations, I noticed that keeping going a class is not easy because we need to be self-confident to have a good classenvironment with motivated students. This is so important for me as a future educator because I learned some important points as make funny a class but also useful to students learn and understand a topic without getting bored or showing uninterest.I think that all the important aspects I noticed from my classmates will be useful for me to use with my students to they feel comfortable and anxious to learn more and more everyday. I learned that motivation is the essential part or being an educator because we as teachers should be a little flexible with our studentsm, then they will trust us and if there is a problem I know that I will do something to help my students. This will give as a result a learning process during my class.

Week 10

LESSON PLAN A, B, C D METHOD

   In this week, after we have learned more with our calssmates' presentations about the productive and receptive skills, we have finished our lesson plans to present our class, the teacher gave us some advise again because we had some mistakes that we needed to correct before putting on practice our lesson plan to manage our demo class presentation. Fortunately, with the teacher advise we improved our lesson plans because we needed her help to notice our mistakes. Fortunately, the teacher feedback was very useful for us to have our lesson plans finished once for all. As I mentioned before, we learned all this with the teacher help and we also learned to improve our lesson plans from the past lesson plans we made in a wrong way. I will use this knowledge I learned during this week averyday to mput on practice in my lesson plans.

Week 9

EVALUATING LESSON PLANS

   Fortuntely, during this week I learned so much about an important topic, this is " checking lesson plans", it is very useful for us as future teachers to learn because we will be using this everyday, we have to base on some important points to have into considerations before finishing and putting a lesson plan on practice.I leaned about this important topic through the rubric that the teacher gave us for we to have acomplished a good lesson plan, I also learned to do it through making drafts of lesson plans, I could say that I learned to improve them from my mistakes.I think it is maybe one of the most important things for me I have learned until now because we will improve our lesson plans with this guide. I think, I will be applying all I have learned during this classs from now on in my daily activities because I will have to create lesson plans daily to manage my classes in a good way.

Week 8

Lesson Plans

This was a productive week because I learned much about lesson plans thanks to the teacher explanation. The power point presentation has clarified some doubts I had about lesson plans, although the teacher is not responsible of teaching us what a lesson plan is about. However, the teacher expalnation helped me so much as I already metined, the way I learned more about it was with the activities and the assignment I had to do at home about analyzing a lesson plan, it tought me some things with useful information about a lesson plan structure bacause I did not have enough knowledge about what a lesson plan is. I learned about lesson plans during this week by researching information on the internet, also by the teacher explalnation and by analyzing myself with the rubric and some advise I learned in my classes with taking notes. I think all I have learned during this week will be helpful for me from now on because making lesson plans is something I must know because it is something I will be using from now on as a future teacher to organize my class activities with my students.

Week 7

POWER POINT PRESENTATIONS AND SPEAKING

 

During the present week I learned the importance of making good power point presentations because the teacher gave us some suggestions for improving it and to make them look better for they to look professional. As the teacher told us, we do not have to add so many words, only keywords that are going to help us as a guide to the viewers get the main idea because we will only use a few words and not lots of words that will be monotone and will make look the presentation boring.

    Also, it is important to add some pictures in our power point presentations because that represents something that will really help us to show our students in order to they get the idea in a better way, pictures are more likely to get the attention of the viewers, so it will really make our presentations attract viewers attention because our pictures will ilustrate an idea better than only words that will turn our presentations as not enjoyable.

   I learned all this thanks to the teacher example to make us notice our mistakes and to correct them on time to be better in our next presentations. Therefore, I think all the advice will be useful and applicable from now on to put it on practice in our presentation with our students to present them a topic in a better form to they understand us getting the main points  easier.

I also learned about the importance of teaching speaking because I read about the topic in the book the teacher provided us, as communication is the main point of learning and teaching a language, I learned some advice from that book that will really be useful in the future with my students through putting on practice the activities I checked in that book.

this video is a crear example of "discussion" that is an activity that is used to encourage students because they will improver thier speaking when they talk and share their ideas and opinions in a discussion activity:

   On this video we can notice one of the other suggested activities which is "Role-play" that is used effectively with students to make they play characters in an imaginary but real situation that is likely to happen, I think this this activity  is very useful because it activates their speaking and improves it giving good results:

 

Week 6

       During this week we received, we learned with a special exposition of our teachers Gabriela López where I learned so much about some important important web pages rhar will be useful to develop a class because all they contain useful activities for students and teachers. The reachers told us about how ro manage some web pages to improve ourselves as educators to create and ro fill our lesson plans with activities. The teachers told us something very important about how to use technology to be connected with others through using social web pages for sharing and researching information to keep updated with all the internet rools we need to be better in our field because on the internet because they have similarities each other.

   This week was really productive because I learned very much of the important tool on the internet that we were already checking, diigo has been really helpful because with this important and neccessary web page I have saved some pages. Also, during this week I learned how to create a group on diigo, it was a discussion forum for we to discuss on it about a controversial topic as we are sharing our different opinions or points of views related to the topic we discussed.

 Another important thing I learned was about a web page that is good for students who are learning English, the page called www.esl-lab.com. on this page I noticed it is interactive for begginers as for advanced because it offers lots of exercises to develop for all levels of English learners, this page has also helped me a lot when I was in second level because teachers recommended me to use it this page taught me vocabulary, also I developed my listening and speaking skills. In conclusion, diigo and esl-lab.com is good for I to use in the future with my students to teach them how to use those important pages to develop their skills

LEARNING REFLECTION JOURNAL

    I learned to use an important web page, it is called www.diigo.com, this web page is an important site that I should keep on mind because it helps me to save web pages that are useful for me, this  page is recommendable because it helps me to save links for not to forget or copying the whole link in a paper. Besides, its features are really good because this page offers some options before to save a link such as to classify the links for having an organized list of our favorites web pages because I can add some information in each one of them using tags that will help me to find the page faster in the search engine
Many Also, this useful page is like a social network, it is good because we can be participant in forums about any topic with our friend to share aour information and ideas. It can be applicable in our studies because most if time we only copy links that we find and are really useful, bur as they are written in a paper they are usually forgotten, but with this tool our favorite pages will not be forgotten because they will be classified and we will have access evrywhere where we have an internet connection to save pages or to participate in forums

Week 3

                                            LEARNING REFLECTION JOURNAL 

    I learned a very important thing about plagiarism, with the web pages that the teacher provides us, I read them and I understood better about what plagiarism is about. We as students sometimes plagiarism without noticing it because sometimes or most of the times we did not know that this is. The reading I read in some web pages was similar, all them saying, "plagiarism is taking the credit for the ideas of someone else", so I understood that the original ideas of people are important because they are produced with time and effort of them. I read that there are many ways of plagiarism such as: rewriting the same words of someone else without using quotation marks, or when we do not cite the resource we took the information from, another way of plagiarism is paraphrising an idea changing it to our own words making easier to understand for the readers but without  mentioning the main page where we took the information. As we could see, there are some forms of plagiarizing, but we can also avoid plagiarism as for example using quotation marks when we mention a complete idea of an author mentioning his name, citing our information resources, when we paraphrise we should not take the complete information of others and just turn it into our own words because the idea of paraphrasing is taking the point of an idea and to develop it using our criteria, and an important thing we should not forget is when we quotate an idea it should not be more than 40 words. A big help is using the APA style to avoid plagiarism, just following its simple concepts and rules for we to create our original ideas in a writing. I lerned all this by researching information on the internet and I think it will be applied in the scholar tasks and in some other fields to avoid plagiarism. Finally, as I did not understand everything about the differences between each kind of topic inside plagiarism I will leave some URLs that helped me a lot to understand it in a better way.

Week 2: Summary

LEARNING REFLECTION JOURNAL

    During this week I have learned some things, as for example, I learned how to participate in a forum discussion in the "Aula virtual" of the university web page. Also, I learned how use "Aula vurtual", with our account that was created to do the assignments and tasks for this subject. At the beginning we all had the same password, after we changed it for one ours to protect aour account of being stolen. I also edited information about me in the account. after that I learned to share my URL blog on "aula virtual".
    Finally, during this week I learned how to participate in forums because it was my very first time participating in one, I learned to analyze the ideas from others in a forum and to agree or desagree their points of view with good arguments to reply tne information given from the other participants. I hope to use all this acquired knowledge during this week to have a clear idea for participation in ther forums opinions related with the information researched on some other web pages. This week was really productive because now I am able to be an active participant in some other online forums with the information that the teacher provided me.

Week 1: Summary

What did I learn?

This was the first class week I had, during this week. Fortunately, I have learned very much, I started studying how to recognize a web page with the help of the web site the teacher provided me, I used that page to have a guide of how to analyse a web page, if it is reliable with updated information or to recognize a web page owner: if it is from a person, company or organization. These methods to identify the content of the web page are really useful for students because I can also notice if the web page provides me some other links that will help me to expand my search, or if its information is only plagiarizsm from other web sites. Finally, now I can know what is the web page purpose and if it has serious scientific or superficial  information to trust the page or to look for a better one.

How did I learn?

The way I learned it was by researching on a web page that really helped me to understand how web pages work, there were also some words related with internet that I did not understand but there was a dictionary that I read to understand some terms that I have never heard. I learned by using the steps from the Evaluating Web Sites resources document I had to complete with my partner, so it was researching on it anbd following the steps. A really useful method I learned to identify the owner of the site was using the "Truncate back the URL", it tought me to look for the administrator's name of the web page and to look his profile and background to check if his information posted on his web page is reliable and professional, but if there was not his profile I learned from the teacher that we only have to lookf for it on the internet. Basically, the effective way I learned it was applying the information I read from the document and applying it one by one with the teacher's help and guide.

How am I going to apply it?

I think I will apply it when I have to look for written information  from a reliable and professional person that have a big and clear knowledge able to share his scientific information about something with others. Also to use it in scholar tasks or to learn more about some topic from a good source I can rely on. All this knowledge I acquired will help me for my future to improve myself using technology to be better in my professional field or to help other to find: good, effective and useful information.
